Cetus Protocol has transferred $162 million of previously frozen assets to a multisig trust wallet following a $223 million exploit on its Sui-based decentralized exchange. The recovery effort, approved by on-chain governance, places the funds under joint custody of Cetus, sui Foundation, and security auditor OtterSec.

The protocol now enters a remediation phase involving smart contract upgrades, liquidity pool recalibrations, and preparations for platform relaunch. This coordinated response aims to restore user confidence while establishing equitable repayment mechanisms for affected liquidity providers.
